Saturday, August 11 - Club Picnic. Come join us for an afternoon around the grill and by the pool, hosted by Bob and Jackie Colestock. Saturday, August 4, Field Shoot, Triple Creek Winery Balloon Festival: Three-day festival at winery located 25 miles east of the Bay Bridge. Creative Exposure Baltimore
August 7, this month, we celebrate CEB's Anniversary. Come to the BMI for an evening photoshoot. We meet at the regular time (7:30), outside in the patio area. We will have 4 models for the evening.
Feel free to bring an easy, shareable snack (chips, veggies, etc.) and an adult beverage for yourself. We will provide water and sodas. (The meeting fee is waived.)
Harford Photographic Arts Society
The August field shoot will take place in Port Deposit and will begin at 6:30pm. At least two experienced photographers will be available for those who may need assistance. Two models will be onsite. There is no cost to participate, however, signup on the club's Meetup.com site is required.

The Silver Spring Camera Club is looking for the right person to manage our social media accounts including Facebook, Twitter and Meetup. This is a VOLUNTEER position. Club membership is not required but helpful. Candidate interviews will be conducted by a small panel from the board of directors. All interested are encouraged to apply.

We have two events scheduled for August.
August 11th: High Wheel Bike Race in Frederick MD
Not an ordinary bike race but a high wheel bicycle race of what were know as penny farthing bikes. See what your great, great, great grandparents might have seen back in the ol’ timey days of 1880 Great Britain. Today, the only American high wheel race of its kind takes place on the historic streets of Frederick MD. We will photograph the racers as they navigate a .4-mile street loop.
